  • Founded and remains involved with Global Alumina Products Corporation, which is developing an alumina refinery in the Republic of Guinea.49
  • Founded and remains involved with Seacom Ltd., which is linking an undersea fiber optic cable between Europe and Africa.50

The business plans to create farms, extraction facilities, and related infrastructure in a sustainable manner that involves local farmers.52 One of the main projects of All for Africa, a non-profit sponsored by Sithe and headed by Bruce Wrobel, Sithe’s CEO, is soliciting donations for palm oil trees to be planted in rural African communities to support local farmers.53
